Energy Cheer (Recreational Cheer Program)

Energy Cheer  is a recreational cheer program.  This year we are excited to grow the program to a stronger more competitive level!  Our hope is to have two teams.  One a beginner level that can learn fundamentals while being competitive in their division and the other at a higher level including back walkovers, back handsprings and more.  We are anxious to get started!!

Cheer Tryouts:

Our placement / tryout day is Sunday, November 5th from 5:00-7:00pm.

No experience or special skills needed!

(Note:  Girls should wear cheer shoes, shorts, t-shirt/tank top, and hair pulled back.)

There is no cost for the placement / tryout day.  Please RSVP for this day by email (office@GreatLakesKidsEnergy.com), phone (248 236-9600), or by stopping in our office by November 1st.  Please include your child's name, age, and parent email address.  Thank you!

Our Level 1 team is perfect for beginners ages 5 and up!

Level 2 and up is for more experienced girls with a specific skill set.

Level 1 (Lightening) practices will be Wednesday: 7:00pm - 8:30pm & Sunday:  4:00pm-6:00pm

Level 2 (Explosion) practices will be Thursday: 7:00pm - 8:30pm & Sunday: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Practices and uniform sizing will start November 8th and 9th.

This year, we are combining all fees (except uniform) into one monthly payment to lessen the upfront burden of all necessary fees.  The monthly payment will include:  Monthly tuition, over $500 in competition and coach fees, $30 USASF membership fee that each athlete must have to compete, and the $60 choreography fee.  The monthly fee for all of this will be $275 per month for November through March.  First tuition payment will be due the day of their first practice.

Everyone is required to purchase a team uniform, which is the shell, skirt, and bow.  Warm up jacket and pants will be optional.  We are finalizing pricing in the next week or so.  Total will be somewhere between $250-350.  Uniform payment is due November 21st.

We have chosen 4 local competitions (2 at Cobo Hall, Eastern Michigan University & Port Huron).  The weekends for these competitions will be January 21st, February 17th, February 24th, and March 17th.  All competitions are mandatory.
